Born in NYC and relocated to PR for
music studies, played for many years
with the world known sensational merengue group “Conjunto Quisqueya”. He’s  working his own communications business but continues his love for music, playing nationwide and locally with many well
known artists.Eddie Mercado was born
in New York in the winter of 1960 to
Puerto Rican immigrants. Eddie has recorded extensively in NY and PR;
has traveled all over the world playing
salsa, meringue and Latin jazz events.

Eddie has done local events in PR such
as “Latin Jazz Nights” sponsored by
Miller Beer and Marlboro with some of
the hot artists then. He’s been playing professionally since 1974 to present. I
took a break from my musical endeavors
to pursue my engineering career which returned me to the US.
